Nurturing Resilience and Global Citizenship

1) —Creating the Culture of Resilience in the Classroom
   Ms. Leila Ben Said,
   a public middle school English teacher in Tunis,Tunisia and former teacher trainer and pedagogical advisor with the Ministry of Education

   Schools play a huge role in children's lives and a classroom culture of Resilience is not impossible. Her presentation will focus on understanding the concept and importance of Resilience. She will also talk about the strategies, skills and activities a teacher can use in the classroom to shape Resilient learners.

2) —The Global Citizen! Who Is It? We Can Be the Global Citizens
   Ms. Seonhee Moon, a high school English teacher in Cheongju, Korea
 
   She will talk about her English class project on Global Citizenship,
using a unit of her school English textbook: Let’s Make Every Day Earth Day. It is a creative project with goals as: Build Our Own Eco-friendly School, Eco-friendly Classroom and Eco-friendly Cafeteria. In her project, students will read articles about the environment, make their own eco-newspaper and play the games related to the Global Citizen.
